Experience:
Bill is an AV rated lawyer who practices trial and appellate law
in state and federal court, as well as arbitrations and
mediations. He represents equipment leasing companies, banks and
individuals in Bankruptcy Court as well as state and federal court
in commercial collections and litigation. Bill has tried jury and
non jury cases in Federal and State Court. He has handled oral
arguments in numerous State Courts of Appeal and the Fifth Circuit
Court of Appeals in New Orleans. In addition Bill provides a wide
range of consultation on general business matters for both for
profit and nonprofit entities in a variety of different
industries, including restaurants, insurance, construction,
telecommunications and churches. This has included formation of
Corporations and LLC’s; business sales; real estate closings;
mergers; conversions and drafting of contracts.

Pro-bono:
Since 1987, Bill has been representing refugees to our country.
Bill has provided pro-bono legal representation for political and
religious asylum applicants and has represented applicants from El
Salvador, Guatemala, Zaire (Now the Congo), Bangladesh, Somalia,
China, Nigeria, Burma (Myanmar), Liberia, Egypt, Turkey, Pakistan,
Cameroon, Zimbabwe, Togo, Ethiopia and Russia. He has been a
member of the Pro-Bono College of the State Bar of Texas since
1998 and is a member of the Pro-bono Activities Committee of the
Dallas Bar Association. Bill has tried numerous cases in
Immigration Court and filed briefs in the Bureau of Immigration
Appeals. In 2005, Bill was humbled and honored to receive the
Angel of Freedom Award from Human Rights Initiative.

Personal:
Mr. Holston was born in Mobile, Alabama in 1956. He and his wife
Jill, live in Dallas and have two sons, Will, a freshman at St.
Louis University and Fred, a sophomore at Woodrow Wilson High
School.
